Brockwell Park covers Brixton, Herne Hill and Tulse Hill. It comprises of over 125 acres of wonderful park and trees, with some great views over London.
Brockwell Hall, built in the early 19th Century for John Blades, a glass maker from Ludgate Hill in the city of London, is now a tea room and Restaurant. At the top of the park and almost in the middle, it overlooks the many trees the park is home to, as well as various playing fields, Tennis courts, a bowling green, duck ponds, a children’s club and playground and of course the well known Brockwell Lido.
The Tulse Hill side of the park is where you’ll find the community greenhouses and garden centre and to the side of these a really tranquil little peace garden that in summer can boast wonderful colours and smells from a mixture of everyday and exotic plants and flowers.
Famed for the Lambeth Country show the park also stages music gigs throughout the summer, a funfair a couple of times a year and more recently there have been some open air theatre evenings too.
A lovely oasis to spend some chill out, in the middle of a sometimes hectic, hustling and bustling city
